2025 Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Course – Cost & Requirements

How Much Does It Cost to Become a Licensed Realtor in Singapore?

Before you can obtain your real estate license and agent ID, here are the key costs to prepare for:

1. Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Course

The course typically costs $650–$800, depending on the training provider (I’ll share recommended providers later in this article).

• NTUC Members (<40 years old): Up to $250 UTAP subsidy for RES exams.

• NTUC Members (≥40 years old): Higher funding support of up to $500 for the course and exams.

• Singaporeans & PRs (≥25 years old): Can use up to $500 SkillsFuture Credit for the course.

2. RES Exam Fees

• $425.10 (inclusive of GST) for both papers.

• $239.80 (inclusive of GST) per paper for retakes.

After passing the exam, you’ll typically attend a real estate recruitment talk and register with a licensed real estate firm.

3. Registration & Joining Fees

• RES Registration Fee: $54.50

• Annual CEA Fee: $230

• Professional Indemnity Insurance: $120

• Agency Admin Fees (Name Cards, ID Tag, Start-up Course, etc.): $300–$500

What Does the RES Course Cover?

The RES course provides a comprehensive understanding of real estate regulations, agency practices, and Singapore’s property transaction laws for HDB flats, private condos, commercial spaces, and industrial properties.
